FADC Signs LOI with Thailand’s DOP

On May 6, 2026, the Fukuoka Council for Designing Society in Aging Asia (FADC) and Thailand’s Department of Older Persons (DOP) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) at the International Conference and Workshop on “Community-Led Approaches and Innovations for Better Care Systems, and Community Resilience toward an Inclusive Silver Economy” at BITEC Bangkok.

Through the LOI, FADC and DOP will work together to improve the quality of life of older persons by sharing good practices and developing human resources.

The LOI identifies four key areas of cooperation:

  1. Study Visits and Training on Policies and Care for Older Persons
  2. Care Ambassador Program: Practical Training for Thai Care Professionals and Government Officials
  3. Long-Term Care and Aging-Related Business Training
  4. Disaster Preparedness and Resilience Training
